K: Bah bah, bah bah this is the sound of settling… (lalala me singing/humming badly)
J: Oh I know that song!
K: What song is it? (skeptical)
J: Uh the Tap Tap song?
My 14-year-old brother (damn when did he get so old). This is the next generation folks. Brought up on iPhones, YouTube and way too much internet. Be prepared (or just scared).
K: I’ve got a killer stomach bug. Seriously haven’t moved for multiple hours. There’s nothing but expired advil in my house
- a few minutes later -
A: Yeah I don’t think it would be safe/actually work
K: I actually took four already
A: …please don’t die
I am intensely private (well, in some aspects) and I just public’d my Twitter profile, for a variety of reasons. I feel like the internet is taking bits and pieces of me. But all kidding aside, it’s a strange idea to open up parts of your life to the entire world. Privacy is easily slipping away, despite the best, most sincere attempts to stop it.
In a similar vein, I need to post more on tumblr (or start a wordpress?) from now on too.
