Here I jump, parachute in hand
I’ve always wanted to start a blog. That’s not true — for the past year or so, I’ve wanted to start a blog. A blog is such a good way to flesh out thoughts, develop writing and interact more on the web. Of course, all my heightened expectations for my blog made it that much more difficult to start. And then of course, I started thinking about what the typical “first post” on a blog should say.
Eventually, I decided that the mere idea of starting a blog, plus my transient and sporadic desire to do so, was stopping me from actually taking the leap. I’ve been so inspired by my friends who maintain blogs/any sort of online presence, that I’m pushing aside my perhaps-silly worries. And I certainly still have heightened expectations. I want to be as free and honest as possible, to represent myself as well, myself. So no idea how my “voice” will come off or if my posts will be interesting or applicable to you, but I hope you join me on the ride. And I’m going to try not to ramble. (was that too much disclosure? oh well). Here goes!
